The great egress of July 2004
In Boston, the rumors and realities of what inconveniences the city will experience by highway closures will result in a mass exodus (mostly by drivers in the right lane). Major highway closures, airspace restrictions, an "early rush hour." Who will the city blame for lost revenues from decreased fare and tax collections? And how will New York City address the Republican convention? A great study in the dichotomy of what makes a city great -- the people who live there every day, and not the great people who call it home when it's in their best interest...
