I got the bike going again having fully recharged the battery. It is interesting to compare cars with bikes. To recharge a car battery you simply need to pull a catch, lift the hood and hook up the battery charger. For the Honda ST1300 bike that we use, you need to take off the seat, remove the right-side pannier, then undo 3 bolts securing part of the fairing before you actually get to the battery. Still, I am reassured by believing that cars are made simple to suit the majority of people that drive them!
