John Fowler all'Analyst Summit di S.Francisco

John Fowler ha fatto qui una bella panoramica sul prossimo futuro nel campo dei sistemi, fornendo un minimo di dettagli su Niagara2, Victoria Falls e Rock.

parlando delle uscite prossime venture, Fowler ha anticipato che Niagara2 dovrebbe vedere la luce nella seconda meta' del 2007, Victoria Falls nella prima meta' del 2008 e Rock nella seconda meta' del 2008.

Fowler ha anche dedicato due parole su APL:

 "Sun and Fujitsu customers now have APL products in testing, Fowler said. The products will be generally available in the first half of 2007 and will offer 1.5 times the performance of today's servers using Sun's UltraSparc IV+ processor, Fowler said. Rock systems will offer 16 times the performance."

e mi sembra che il commento sia molto autoesplicativo
