Tuesday August 17, 2004 So it was off to Las Vegas for a day to meet with a few customers. No, no money was won or lost. For those who don't know, I grew up in Las Vegas, and about half of the locals have little or no interest in gambling.
The day started at 4:45 am, and is continuing now, 7pm, waiting for a 6:45 flight. What's that you ask? How can I be waiting for something to have occured in the past? Well, it's a nice fun flight delay.
I guess you all get to be the beneficiaries. :)
At least LV cooperated by giving me some decent weather- it's not the usual beating mid-August heat.
In other news, this last weekend, for the first time, I went to the Pebble Beach Concourse. It was well worth the trip. For those who have never heard of it, it's the pre-eminant antique/exotic automotive ahow in the US. This year's featured marques were Ferrari, Hispanzo Suiza, and Rolls Royce (I think). It was pretty amazing. There were no half finished projects at this kind of show, like you'd find in the average local show.
I'll blog more on that later, with photos.
