Ferrari Cooling Station
I am a heavy user of my Acer Ferrari 3400 laptop and will often run builds on it. As is well known, AMDs tend to heat up drastically. In fact the Ferrari can get too hot to hold if it is running an OpenSolaris nightly or other big software builds.
So I have to keep my Ferrari on raised supports and and run a pedestal fan at 50% blast to keep the laptop from frying it's own circuits, if a long-running build is going on. A graphic illustration follows below.
BTW the scribbling on the whiteboard behind the laptop represents the core logic (page, block and byte alignment stuff) for the new compression feature in BeleniX.
BeleniX 0.4 is due by tomorrow and it packs 1.5 GB of software on one CD with room for more (includes KDE 3.5.1 and Koffice).
