Hobby Master Diecast Model Review: Tank and War Plane
Just browsed through a web site about Diecast models of Tiger I Tank, King Tigers, M1A1HA Tanks. They not only provide beautifully finished diecast models, but also provide rich historical background of the models. It brings me back to the WWII battle field. They also has Remote Controlled Diecast Tank Series, which can be used for a toy battle. This site is worth taking a look. One of the die-cast model I like is the Tiger I Early Production No.332, sPzAbt503, Russia 1943. Although not large in size (scale: 1/56), this diecast model tank is rich in features. It has a rubber tracks, individual moving wheels, and most importantly to collectors, a very well authentically detailed body. The body is painted in the typcial Panzer grey color with proper highlights, weathering, cables, tools and insignia. The turret can turn and the gun can elavate vertically. This elaborated model reflects every detail of the Tiger tank in the history, hence it is the target of collectors worldwide. The tank depicted by this model was numbered as 332, belonging to sPzAbt503, for battles against Russia in the east front in August 1943. The sPzAbt503 was formed in April 6, 1942. The insignia of sPzAbt503 was the tiger head. The No.332 tank was assigned to the 3rd company in 1943. In January 27, 1944, it was destroyed mistakenly by a German Leopard at Kirowograd.
