Came down crashing...

...back to earth. Early morning, mild traffic, open roads. The RD is in good tune, so gave it some real stick. Pinned the throttle in 3rd, hard past 8k, powershited to 4th, and the RD really responded, zooming through traffic, the needle well past 100. The engine is really singing now, but suddenly there is another tone behind you, smoother, in fact relaxed, and worse, approaching fast. within a second, it's there right behind you, that unmistakable presence of a big motor, and a big red & white thingie whips past you and disappears down the road...you catch up at the next signal, and it's a Honda CBR900RR. the light turns green, and the big machine takes off and disappears once more, relaxed, and still furiously fast. ok the day just screwed, then. fast 2strokes are fun...but maybe one day a week should be reserved for a big, fast, multicylinder 4stroke. need to save/earn more...

Once you ride a supersport, there's no turning back. So be careful what you wish for. I had a Kawasaki Ninja 6R (not a 7 or 9, since I'm small). It does 260km/h (>160mph) unmodified. When I have a garage again, I'll buy something similar. Perhaps a Yamaha R1. The policebikes here in the Netherlands "only" do 225-235km/h, so if you have the guts, you could outrun them ;-)

260kmph..gulp. the police out here ride 18bhp enfield bullets, so you probably outrun them on foot :) :) kinda looking out for a CBR600 actually...then maybe move onto a 900..
