Glassfish Web Space Server 10.0 previously known as Project WebSynergy is Sun's next-generation portal server platform. It comes with 100+ ready to use portlets and an extensible framework which helps to build a unified and customizable website within few days.

The evaluation bundle includes 3 sample portals which are based on 3 of the most common use cases for this product.

• CMS Sample – Typically designed for a publishing house.

• Social Space Sample – This is to build a social networking site.

• Enterprise Sample – Showcases integration of multi-language composite application
  

Now let us tell you how you will get started with samples.

• Download Sun GlassFish Web Space 10.0 – for your Operating system.

• Unzip the bundle.

• Get inside the bundle.

• Go to “glassfish” folder.

• Do “ant -f setup.xml” here.

• You will get a message build successful.

• Now go to “bin” inside this glassfish.

• Start your server using “asadmin.bat start-domain”.

Wait for couple of minutes now for your web space to start. Once you got welcome page,

• Choose a sample from “sample Users” what you want to try first.
