For all our oracle users on Solaris 8

In case you missed this and you are using Oracle on Solaris 8: KJP 117350-23 for Solaris 8 contains the fix for bug: 5095432 Oracle startup takes too long due to memory fragmentation 117350-23 is scheduled to be released tomorrow. Mr Benchmark

Here we are. The first entry in my blog. Brian's convinced me it was the right thing to do. Well, let me start with two important things that I did yesterday : 1 - Convinced one of the first bank in Asia technical team to run their new extra super datawarehouse on Solaris 10. Sybase IQ is ready to go and we will kick butts... 2 - Talked with Pervasive software. What about having my two DB benchmark (available on Oracle and Informix) ported to run with PostGres.
