OpenOffice Saves Students...
Keeping with the trend from yesterday and my blog about OpenOffice saving the day, I was reading another great blog on OpenOffice and how it helped save students $100! Mark Szorady recalls how he helped his nephew out of a tight bind on his blog at One Click Linux: Even with a student discount, the price for MSOffice is rather steep. It costs anywhere from $80.00 to $100.00. So if you are a student, or know of a student, do your good deed for the day and tell them to simply download OpenOffice. -Mark

Hi, Mark,
I just saw this post on your blog and wanted to thank you for the nice comments and the link. It's greatly appreciated. You folks at Sun have done some amazing and wonderful things for computing. I recently downloaded the free version of Solaris 10 and installed as a virtual machine to look around and see what's what. VERY nice!
Ihavenb't updated my blog in some time due to my new cartooning enterprise I've been launching. Once up to speed, I'll be writng about al the great things Sun and Linux have to offer folks.
Again, many thanks for your kind words.
Toonfully,
Mark Szorady
