Thursday June 17, 2004 Ray Charles died of complications from liver disease a couple of days ago. I am not so familiar with the songs he sang, but I have always thought his voicing was incredible. He was in the movie "The Blues Brothers", which is one of my favorites, and there I remember he played Fender Rhodes piano so emotionally.
It's kind of sad to see that those people in my favorite movie die one by one, John Lee Hooker, Cab Calloway, and not to mention, John Belushi. Oh don't forget, my favorite actor John Candy. (2004-06-17 15:41:50.0) Permalink
