Portlets for Jetspeed 2 and defending the Portlet Programming model

Here are two interesting blog entries:

"Java Studio Creator 2 Portlets and Jetspeed-2" talks about how to use the WYSIWYG capabilities of Creator 2 to create portlets for the Apache Jetspeed 2 portal.

In "Is the Portlet Programming Model Broken?", Subbu Allamaraju defends the Portlet Programming model. Subbu emphasizes that the 2-phase lifecycle model defined by the JSR 168 and WSRP is the right way of writing web applications. He supplements his claims with some very good arguments. Definitely worth a read !
