Let's continue the journey...
"If you have a look at the newest NetBeans Release Roadmap you will see, that in Autumn 2009 we can look forward to the new NetBeans 6.8.

And as usually we can try the taste of new features before the final version come in NB 6.8 Milestone1. You can download it in the ordinary pages.
The totally new feature in NB6.8 is Embedded Browser. The Embedded Browser is used to display all links (that would be normally opened in the external browser) inside the IDE as Editor tabs. First of all you have to make a changes in Option Window. Go to Tools – Options - General – and change the line Web Browser, also don't forget to set your connection if you use proxy.

This browser based on Mozilla XUL Runner will be a standard part of NetBeans IDE. Embedded browser requires 32-bit JDK. When running Linux then at least JDK version 1.6.0. When GTK look and feel is enabled on Linux then JDK 1.6.0 update 14 or better is required.
While I was trying it, NB suddenly shut down or behaved little bit strange – nothing important, but maybe it'd be good to place here the warning from wiki pages.
Warning: Embedded browser is known to cause JVM crashes on Linux with GTK look and feel, use at your own risk!
Because this is new feature it will be nice from you to write your comment – positive or negative - to nbusers mailing list and forums to express your opinion (type Embedded Browser in subject). If you find some issue then please file an issue report to IzzueZilla (select subcategory Embedded Browser).
To be continue..."
