Differences between Beta and Latest Builds

NetBeans 6.5 Beta was published almost 3 weeks ago. For me the beta is obsolete and if you try a recent build, you will see that many issues were fixed. In Issuezilla there are more then 1600 fixed issues during the last three weeks. I would like to highlight some improvements in PHP support:
- The performance of code completion was significantly improved.
- The editor has about 40 fixes since the beta. The code completion is more context sensitive and it is able to offer more precise results.
- Navigation functionality was also improved. Fixes in the PHP Navigator, Hyperlink and also implementation of Go To Symbol were added.
- Fixes in the project and debugger.
- Small improvements in FTP support.
Overall there are still things which can be fixed and improved. I would like to thank everyone who tried the PHP support in NetBeans and entered an issue. We have a few more weeks for stabilizing and fixing the PHP support. Thanks for your help.

I can't change the hotkey for autocomplete from ctrl+space to others. any suggest??

Hi Fortruth,
it's possible to change it in the Options. Open the Option dialog, choose Keymap category. The shortcut for code completion is defined as Show Code Completion Popup item in Other group.
It's not very intuitive, there should be implemented Search functionality. I hope that there will be available soon.

Thanks for pointing this out. I'm still using the beta because I didn't want to chasing development builds. But since so much has changed I think I'll update.

I have wrote an entry today(http://blogs.sun.com/netbeansphp/entry/userdir), where are the links to the latest builds.
I can not say, whether the recent builds are great. This is up to users :). I just wanted to express that the latest builds have many improvements against Beta build. And I'm sure that there is many issues that has to be still fixed and improved.

at first, I search it at help, it tells me that it can be found at the source groups but i can't see it.

in non-english, ctrl+space usually used to invoking the input method. so i prefer to change the netbeans shortcut for code completion. At first i want to use tab, but at last i use the window key. I am using ubuntu, and in linux world this key may be ignored.
