OneStop, A Trusted Community in Sunspace

I continue to hear that people are confused about the positioning of OneStop verses SunSpace. (for people who haven't read this blog, OneStop is a managed community within SunSpace.)

Peter Reiser, the architect of SunSpace, recently posted the blog entry Trusted content through facilitated communities. It's an awesome post, but I'm still struggling a bit with the word "trusted".

We are finding that the the need for OneStop has increased, rather than decreased. With Communities and wiki sites all over the place, people don't know where to look. Will a random community page be up to date? Will it be in a useful format? Will it contain the info SEs need? Will it be easy to find, either via browse or search?

I'm not sure the combination of the above = trusted, but I don't have a better word! Any suggestions appreciated.

I think that the problem, Horatio, is not in the stars but in ourselves.

What I meant is that the technology today supports sharing trusted content. We have a wiki with discussion forums (fora?) that enable feedback so that anything which is useful (or not) can be commented on. More good feedback = more trusted.

We even have a community equity model which would REALLY provide indication of which content to trust, but it doesn't look like the legal or HR folks will allow that to be fully utilized any time soon. Not their fault - there are laws, and people who abuse trust, so we do need to protect folks even in web 2.+.

But if people were to provide feedback on content more regularly, and if it were easy to see how current content was (sometimes it is, often less so), then we could share trusted content better. Not a tech RFE, but a human one.
