I returned to the office today after the holiday break and opened my email to read this blog posting from Stephen Shankland (Survey optimistic on Sun Niagara servers).
Merrill Lynch just completed a survey and found that CIOs are very interested in Sun's UltraSparc T1 "Niagara"-based servers (Sun Fire T1000 and T2000).
Shankland writes, "According to the December survey, 41 percent of CIOs who already are Sun customers want to buy Niagara servers in the next 12 months, compared to 8 percent in July. And among CIOs in general, the purchasing intention increased from 3 percent to 12 percent over the same period."
