Friday October 19, 2007 On Wednesday night, 10/17 Sun hosted an event for press & bloggers
to give an update on our Client Java strategy.
Attendees 1st got an overview from Rich Green, James Gosling, Chet Haase and Ken Russell on technologies such as JavaFX Script, JavaFX Mobile, Java SE 6 UpdateN and the Java plug-in.
Then it was on to the mingling portion of the event for drinks, snacks & demos so people could see the technology in action.
Other Sun engineers & product managers including Greg Murray, Octavian Tanase and Dan Ingalls were on hand to discuss additional technologies like jMaki, NetBeans & the Sun Labs research project the Lively Kernel.
