Today, November 13, 2007 marks the 1 year anniversary of open source
Java technology & the formation of the OpenJDK community (for the Java SE
implementation) and the Mobile &
Embedded community (for the Java ME implementation).
A lot has happen since Sun set Java "free"
(under GPL
v2 license!) and released the initial source code last year.
Rich
Sands looks back at the past year within the Open JDK
community.
Terrance
Barr & Roger
Brinkley comment on the Mobile & Embedded community.
I was also lucky enough to get some video footage of Mark Reinhold, Ray
Gans & John Mulner giving their thoughts on the 1 year anniversary.
