The Official Site for Breaking News and the Latest Information from Sun On The Record

If you attended college somewhere warm, you probably had at least one professor who – when the sun was shining and the air was warm – elected to hold class in the grass out on the quad. (And it was always an English or Poetry professor, wasn't it?)

More than 500 students put a 21st century twist on “class in the grass” when they attended an OpenSolaris chat on Tuesday held, not on the quad, but in Second Life. Students, as well as a number of developers, visited the Sun Andromeda Theater to hear about the latest OpenSolaris developments and have their questions answered about what OpenSolaris can do for them and how they can get more involved in the global community.

For a transcript of Tuesday's OpenSolaris chat and a look at the presentation shared during the event, check out the The Open Waters blog at http://blogs.sun.com/theopenwaters/

Of course, the best place for additional information on OpenSolaris and the OpenSolaris community can be found at opensolaris.com and opensolaris.org
