Some great news for Sun today. Current Analysis recently published its assessment of Service-Oriented Architecture Suites and Sun scored high across a number of key differentiators when compared with several leading SOA platforms like IBM, Oracle and SAP. You can read an overview of the findings here.
Current Analysis ranks SOA solutions on how well they meet a variety of
customer criteria and Sun’s Java CAPS was ranked as ‘strong’ for the
breadth and cohesion of its portfolio, ‘competitive’ for its deployment
and administration and ‘outstanding’ for its interoperability and
standards support. The analysis references Sun’s go-to-market strategy,
extent of its product offering and Java heritage as the key strengths
and differentiators behind the suites success.
This is great feedback on a solution that has shown customers like
easycash GmbH, Cleveland Clinic, Pepco, HVB Americas and Frontier
