As Sun knows first-hand, workforces today are becoming increasingly mobile.
In fact, by 2010, it is expected that the majority of the firms surveyed in the U.S.
and Canada will have a mobile workforce of between 26 percent and 50 percent
(according to a new study by Infotrack).

Companies are constantly searching for ways to better manage and secure their
remote employees. And now, users of devices with the SAP GUI (graphical user interface)
can use Sun's Secure Global Desktop software (http://www.sun.com/software/products/sgd/index.jsp)
to centrally manage their devices, as this week, the SSGD passed the official
SAP acceptance process for usage with SAP GUI (http://www.sun.com/third-party/global/sap/).

What does this mean for customers and their end users? The management of every
device with the SAP GUI can be dramatically simplified and centralized, giving easy
"anywhere access" to users tapped into a data centers with SAP-driven systems. This
can be done without local installation, while also ensuring security. As a result,
operational costs are cut down via this ease of management.
