The Official Site for Breaking News and the Latest Information from Sun On The Record

Wednesday Feb 13, 2008

Yesterday, W3C issued a press release marking the 10th anniversary of the publication of XML 1.0

There are a number of Sun employees who were (and continue to be) involved in the early days of XML and SGML, including:

Jon Bosak, (who organized and lead the W3C Working Group that Produced the XML 1.0 Recommendation) Tim Bray, (who was one of the co-editors) Eduardo Gutentag, Eve Maler, (who was a member of the SGML on the Web Editorial Review Board), Lauren Wood and Norman Walsh.

It's really interesting to read all the different perspectives on the blogs and the XML community greetings.

Sun also contributed a testimonial on the 10th anniversary for the W3C site.
