Hamburg, Heart of OOo Development
Hamburg is one of the finest places to live on this planet.
You can find some world record locations in Hamburg, places that made history, you can meet well known people, or just enjoy all the comfort and benefits that only a metropolitan area can offer. If you love silence, take a bicycle ride over one of the largest cemetaries of the world in Hamburg-Ohlsdorf.
If you are more with the living, go to the open air stage in the Stadtpark and watch Billy Idol or Jackson Browne when they really enjoy performing in Hamburg.
Or go to the Alster and rent a sailing boat to take a cruise right in the middle of the city.
Or buy an inexpensive day ticket for the public mass transport, and take one of the half-hourly scheduled boat rides down the Elbe river, next to the world's biggest container ships on your left side, and sandy beaches with sun seeking Hamburgers on the other side. Take care not to get too much sun on the upper deck. We just suffered from the hottest July in more than 100 years, and the summer is not over.
Hamburg, the second largest city of Germany, is the home of the StarOffice/OpenOffice.org development team.
This team, founded as Star Division more than 20 years ago, is now a part of Sun Microsystems, Inc., and it still works on the StarOffice/OpenOffice.org office software suite. Well, "works" doesn't express it right. All the developers which I know love to give their heart and soul to the ongoing development of StarOffice/OpenOffice.org. That's our mission.
Fortunately, many developers from all over the world now have joined forces to work on OpenOffice.org. Unfortunately, not as many as we would like.
Especially for the documentation of OpenOffice.org we would like to welcome many more contributors in the future.
Kind regards
your technical publications team at Sun, Hamburg

Dear team,
I stumbled upon your site, and I was just wondering whether you would mind, checking out my page about Hamburg.
Basically we created a new online directory, called TopicBook, which so far still is a bit small, but hopefully growing, and I decided to dedicate a page to Hamburg, because it is not only the city I grew up in, but also my personally very favourite city in the world (or at least out of all the places that ive been to so far).
Now I have this page http://hamburg.topicbook.co.uk
and I was hoping very much, that you could maybe take a few minutes, look at the page and maybe if you feel it is informative and interesting, even put a link onto your site. Now even, if you feel like a link on your page isnt such a good idea, I would still be very very greatful if you could send me some feedback on your thoughts and impression on the page.
thank you very much
yours faithfully,
Coco
