- CZOSUG meeting #15 was held on February 21st at premises of Faculty of Mathematics and Physisc, Charles University in Prague at Mala Strana. Martin Man presented about Nexenta and Zdenek Kotala presented about PostgreSQL on Solaris (they delivered these presentations as part of their preparations for the upcoming OpenSolaris Developer Conference in Berlin).
- LOSUG met on February 21st, the main topic was smf(5).

Sun Tech Days in Hyderabad were
held from February 21st to February 23rd. Many Solaris RPE engineers from Sun IEC in Bangalore participated
in this event:
- Madhu KR was responsible for program management of the Open Solaris Day. Madhu took also the pictures used at this blog entry -- thanks!
- Sumitha Prashanth and Joe George did a lot of background work in terms of planning and co-ordinating. Check out also Goerge's blog.
- Pavan Chandrashekar co-run the CodeCamp at Solaris Track day 1.
- Sanjeev Bagewadi had a presentation about ZFS.

KNR had a welcome talk at the OpenSolaris day
and Sriram Popuri talked about Virtualization.
- Engineers at the booth -- Shantanu Gudihal, Pramod Batni, Moinak Ghosh, and Vineeth Pillai.

There were three simultaneous talks about Solaris in satellite cities
(Pune, Delhi and Mumbai) on the first day of Sun Tech Days.
Ananth Shrinivas talked
in Pune, Pradhap Devarajan talked in Mumbai,
and Shivani Khosa talked in Delhi.
- Two OpenSolaris Users Groups were created -- Hyderabad OSUG and OSUG in Kolkatta. Moinak Ghosh led a highly interactive discussion at the first HOSUG meeting on how to build an OpenSolaris distribution based on his BeleniX experience.
