No way, i must have messed up something, now after resume the system is sluggish (3 minutes to get the screensaver password request!!). I'll try reinstalling the system from scratch, maybe i'll have more luck next time =)

I have zfs auto snapshot and time-slider removed, it looks like the Acer One is just to small to deal with the load, this may be your problem.

I just got an Aspire one. But I could not use it on my TV screen. Is there a special VGA cable or video drive needed? Thanks.

Hi,
That's a vga connector not video connector, does your TV support VGA input ?
I'm assuming your talking about OpenSolaris you have installed ?

What operating system are you using, OpenSolaris does not come with a movie player.

i am havin the same problem as El. aspire one won't connect to TV VGA.. I do have a TV that is VGA ready.. I tested it with another Dell Laptop. Connection works though TV buffers. Once I connect aspire one, TV says "no signal".. Is there something else I need to do?

Hi JuJuBee,
You are running OpenSolaris ? If your on Windows XP Home Acer or Microsoft is the place to call.
If you are on OpenSolaris and you have the new drivers installed you should be able to do a shift+F5 to jump out to the external display, or right+click on desktop screen resolution, detect displays

Hi,
Dave and El.. I just figured out how to connect.
I am operating Windows Xp..
I simply hooked the VGA cable from the VGA port on the Aspire one to the VGA port on the TV..(I have a 42" Westinghouse HDTV).
Next,I went into the system tray on the taskbar of my Xp and clicked the Intel graphics driver. Once it opened, I changed the view to monitor. It automically flipped to the TV...
Once you disconnect the VGA cables, just change it back to notebook view in the graphics driver. Good Luck!

wow thanks juju i usually just pressed fn then f5. but after i wiped my system clean it stopped working. but i didnt think to check the intell icon at the bottom :) +++

My TV only supports a VGA resolution of 640x480, my Acer Aspire one 10.1" Netbook PC (AOD150-1165) w/XP Home will only go to 600x800. Any ideas?
