Hi All,

So my wife decides to get me away from the lab and cell phone today, we drove 120 miles North of our home to La Push, WA.

This is the home of the Quileute Tribe.

We passed through the town of Forks, Wa.

80 miles north of our house we start to pass through the northern most Sub Tropical Forest in the world.

Trees that have been growing for 600 - 800 years or more, everything turns green.

These are a few of the pictures I took today.

Who knows why you would go to La Push, WA ?

Comments:

La Push, WA is the setting for the movie (and I suppose) Novel "Twilight" by Stephine Meyers. Not that I'm a fan, but my wife is and she had her friends over to watch the movie.

Hi,

Got to get in touch with you feminine side :-)

Yes, we went to see where Bella, Jacob and Edward lived.

It was really cool the locals are making money off the tourists.

I read all four books, they where great.

The real Quileute legend does have them coming from wolves.

It's a really interesting set of books, yes, more women read them :-)

Forks does not look anything like the town in the movie.

You can buy an Edward doll in Sullys Burgers though.

It's got to be pumping $$$$ into an economy that's really small, they are a good four hour drive from Seattle.

The forest and beaches make it worth the trip.

People were camping on the most beautiful beaches.
