They allow to install OpenSolaris software quick and simple to through Internet based software download services (IPS).
Configuring your own individual composed OpenSolaris installation is easier than ever before.
Add the repositories listed below and draw thousands of popular software packages onto your OpenSolaris system.
Here's a list of the known repositories. Please post a comment if your favorite repository isn't listed here. It will get added ASAP!

Adding the repositories will not add any packages. It will make the packages available and visible for installation through IPS. Don't forget the pkg refresh command after having added the repositories. Get familiar with IPS through the public documentation of the IPS technology.
