Product of the week potato ricer

Every self respecting household that wants to banish lumps in their mashed potato needs to buy one of these .

You do not even need to peel potatoes just cut them up so they will fit into the ricer, boil in a saucepan until soft and then push them through it. It acts like a garlic press ( a larger version else you would be there all night). The bonus is you get to save the very best of a potato which is the flesh right under the skin that normally gets peeled away.

The very best potato in my opinion is of course the Desiree red.
