For reasons I have never understood I have always bought this publication at Christmas. It makes no sense now as the TV listings are on loads of web sites. Years ago when I bought this it only covered the BBC channels. If you wanted to know what was on commercial TV you had to buy another magazine. Thankfully it covers all terrestrial and cable channels now. The thing that amused me then and amuses me know is there is never anything on over Christmas. So far in this copy my highlight will be Sherlock Holmes and the Hound of the Baskervilles! Of course the usual films that always seemed to be on years ago were "The Great Escape", "Wizard of Oz" and the "Sound of Music". The Queen's speech is a highlight one must never miss either..
