Summer in the UK means

Soggy fish and chips on sale at seaside resorts.

Miles of traffic jams on the roads leading to the coast.

Kiss me quick hats on sale in tat shops on the sea front.

Rock and candy floss with a sugar content beyond belief eaten by the ton.

Red as a beetroot UK residents swilling down pints of lager in the sun.

The country fires up its Bar-B-Q's and either burns the food to a crisp or undercooks it giving themselves food poisoning..

If you have booked a holiday in the sun abroad, the UK will have a wonderful summer, if you have booked a UK holiday it will rain when you are away.

The roads will melt and the rails will buckle leading to travel chaos.

The supermarkets are full of people buying food, lager etc in the belief that they will run out of these items due to the summer - and they then do so in the ensuing panic.

Sultry nights so hot and humid you cannot sleep.
