And its goodbye from him...

In the tradition of the Two Ronnies...

One of my new year resolutions is to spend less time in front of a computer screen. One of the casualties will be this weblog - for now. It is a pity as I enjoy writing these . Being very busy at work and at home means I need to give myself a bit more time to relax and do other things.

Like most people I am shocked by the news of the Tsunami disaster. Someone at work was on a beach in Sri Lanka on holiday with his family when the first wave rolled in. He and and his family got out. I have just checked his weblog and he has not written up about it so I won't mention his name.

But like many other individuals who want to do more than just contribute financially and in Bruce Foresyths own words didn't we do well ? - but keep it coming, he is going back to help out the island. He is taking over water purification hardware and anything else he can send over. I am also heartened to see many other folks of all professions, medical, communications etc giving their time to go and help these folks out. These people are demonstrating the best of humankind to us all.

Shame. I've enjoyed reading it. Perhaps some other sitting in front of the computer persuit could be got rid of?
