It is reported today that three quarters of us never read the terms and conditions wether we are purchasing online or by traditional means. The fact that often it makes no sense, reads like gobblygook or it is printed in such small print it is unreadable anyway are some of the reasons we give for ignoring this information. Never fear, the UK Information Commissioner is at our rescue. I found a bit more information on this here ( Feb 12 2009, 12:00:01 AM PST ) Permalink Comments [3]Post a Comment: Comments are closed for this entry. |

Where is the link to the story?
I've often wondered if the Ts & Cs would stand up not least as with some sites even if you click no they let you proceed!

I have asked the BBC for any links but I also found a C4 link that I have added to this article.

Another annoying ploy that often comes up is the T&Cs are placed in a small text box, rather than simply being displayed as a web page - A bit like this box I'm typing into here. Help is at hand with an add-on such as "Its All Text!" which allow you to open the text in your favourite editor.
