With the days counting down till Christmas, I'm finding myself with a lot to do before Old St. Nick arrives. So like any good modern consumer, I hit the Internet to get some last minute gifts. And of course I got distracted, so in addition to the new Baby Einstein gear that I managed to buy for my brother Klaus and his wife Jill, I saw that Time is acknowledging the power of user-generated content in their latest issue. But is naming “You” as its Person of the Year Time's attempt to get people engaged and talking about the magazine–and will it help bring more people into this user-focused online world? (Ironically, when you go to read the story online, the ad that pops up has the headline “You may not be the Time person of the year.” According to Time, I am. Haven't they heard?)
