Thank you for this article! easy going! I love solaris! Which performance/process monitors do you use in the menu bar?

Thanks, Philipp.
This is System Monitor applet. By default it shows just a couple graphs. But you can ask it to give more.

It's great to use Adobe Reader on OpenSolaris. Because Evince is not such a good one. Actually it can not open the file if there is more than 1000 pages. Anyway Spasibo Brat! ;)

Thanks for the blog. Couple of months back I installed Solaris 10 on my laptop and also install Adobe reader (download in .pkg.bz2 format) which worked fine. But due to driver problem for my Ethernet card, I uninstall Solaris 10 & install OpenSolaris 2009.06
Now my question is Can I install the same download of adobe reader in Opensolaris? If yes, is there any difference in the process than what I opted for Solaris 10?

Hi Parag,
I never tried to install Adobe Reader on Solaris 10.
But packages on the download page are not differentiated by Solaris version.
So I think that installation process of Adobe Reader should be the same on OpenSolaris and Solaris 10.
pkg format is still supported by OpenSolaris.

Thanks a lot for the help. Actually I opt for Adobe reader on Opensolaris because I could not open my OpenSolaris bible ebook (pdf format) using Evince although some other pdf ebooks are opened by it without any hitch.
Anyway, thanks once again.

Hi,
I just want to say thank you once again because I am able to successfully install Adobe Reader in OpenSolaris using .pkg.bz2 file as I earlier did in Solaris 10.
