Oracle Database 10gR2 (10.2.0.3 and higher patches) Single Instance (not RAC) is certified with Solaris 10 ZFS on SPARC 64-bit. Please read Solaris ZFS_Best_Practices_Guide. You may need to limit ARC cache.

Hi, I'm not an oracle dba but I'm involved with an oracle migration to zfs. They are running oracle10g but with the compatible=9 parameter. will this be supported too? I can't seem to find many official info on the whole oracle on zfs story... hope that will change soon.

Yes, it is supported no matter which parameters Oracle 10g database have. From database point of view ZFS is just a file system. BTW, Oracle 11g is also supported on ZFS on SPARC.
