Currently, the web designers design the portal's look and feel via a web based UI - which they may not be entirely comfortable with.
Wouldn't it be nice if portals provide a method by which the
designer is able to use professional web design tools that he is
already familiar with to create a beautiful looking portal.
Well, now its possible. For more details on how, click here.
For screencasts on how it can be done, click here.

This feature is fantastic. I didn't even know about the ability to download a theme from the admin console. That's a perfect use case to manage themes. I'm so impressed I can't believe it, a product that is actually built to make life easier for developers. Not that's web.next.
Only comment, I wish the screen cast was shorter so impatient people could see all the steps:
1.) download theme through web admin console
2.) install dreamweaver plugin
3.) edit theme in dreamweaver
4.) upload them in web admin console
5.) launch you new look/feel
6.) sit back and be impressed!
