Moving to The Park - Day D

Monday, February 27th, is the first day, when SW Engineers in Prague Engineering Center will start working in a new building. Finally! After all compressions, occupying former training rooms, LAB space or cafeterias, we will have enough space for expansion. Big relief.

So where are we moving?
 The Park
New office is located in The Park on Prague 4, the area with pretty high density of IT companies in Prague. Fortunately, it's not just IT there, they opened a big shopping center Centrum Chodov close to the office. There is even Beer Point, pub in the shopping center, can you believe that?

So, everything is ready. About 30 engineers packed their stuff as well as lab equipment on Friday and it has been moved to the new office during the weekend. Several of us worked there last week, to test the environment. I was lazy to unpack my notebook, so I used SunRay client, connecting back to server room in old building and everything worked fine! Kudos to all people that worked hard to make that happen.

Pavel, welcome.
Is there a squash court in the building? (just kidding ;) )
I'm afraid about quality of lunch. I don't want to eat fast-food meal every day. What is your experience?

Cool... I actually was there when they started building the new buildings on this site two years ago... The IBM(?) building (left of the entrance) was already finished and stood proud but lonely on an empty field. ;) They had the lights on all night while we were waiting for the bus at Chodov, and the lights changed colors every couple of minutes. Pretty weird sight between the panelaky. Didn't expect to be working there soon. :)

RE: squash: There is a squash centrum, http://www.sbcentrum.cz/, 11 minutes by bus (according to idos.cz). I didn't try it yet. RE: lunch: I was in Koliba last week, it was quite good (and expensive). I'm hungry now, going to explore new world here in a minute.

It all good, we are here working fine and good, the new building is quite cool i should say and it has this aura of a pleasant environment for work. I think i gonna like it here. Even the coffe machines were setup for the first day impressive :) Nice work to all the guys

Can you tell me what other Business Parks exist in Prague apart for the "the park".

Is The Park only IT business park or there are more

Oh boy, there is a huge development in the office space in Prague.
www.bbcentrum.cz hosts other IT companies. River City <http://www.architekt.cz/grandprix/polozka.php?ID=830> is the other one. Office Centrum Pankrac or Nove Butovice (SAP) is another example.
