Basic Rules

Installation

* NetBeans Enterprise Pack 5.5.1 Beta download bits come with installers for all supported platforms. You will need to have JDK 5, Update 9 or higher and NetBeans IDE 5.5.1 Beta preinstalled.

Focus of testing

* Please focus your testing efforts primarily on the functionality that you and your team(s) use frequently. Focusing your efforts in this manner will result in collecting solid feedback on the areas that people are experienced with.
* For a list of NetBeans Enterprise Pack 5.5.1 Beta features, please go to: http://enterprise.netbeans.org

Bugs, RFEs

* If you find a bug, please first try one attempt to query IssueZilla (http://qa.netbeans.org/processes/cat/551/entpack/bug_query.html) to verify whether it's not already reported. If so, don't hesitate to add your comments.
* In other cases we recommend participants to take advantage of the simple bug form (http://qa.netbeans.org/processes/cat/551/entpack/bug_form.html) which will save you time by doing some auto-setting behind the scenes. You can also file new enhancements for integration into the next release.

Mailing List

* Please use the NetBeans Enterprise Pack 5.5.1 Beta specific mailing list for sharing your concerns, discussions with other colleagues, asking them questions, negotiating priorities of bugs, etc. Sun Development & Support team members will be responsible for monitoring this list and will do their best to assist you.
