Cricket: World Cup Failure and Academy Exchange

I was reading the column Majola hits out at South Africa's 'mental strength'. One of the valuable takeaways was the proposal for academy exchange program between India, Pakistan and SA.

"This will enable us to send a squad of spinners to the subcontinent for specialist coaching and for selected batsmen to learn to play spin in those conditions. Pakistan and India will then be able to use their bowlers and batsmen to train in our quicker conditions."

I believe in one way the defeat of India, Pakistan and South Africa is a blessing in disguise, otherwise the thinktank would not have got a chance to dig deep into the problem and come up with creative solutions like this. These ideas when implemented sincerely will definitely help these nations to build a better side not only for the next World cup, but can also improve their abysmal overseas record in non-friendly pitches.

Comments:

I think SA problem is completely different. Ours is to do with hero worship which is historical and cultural. South Africa just choke. They come with fixed plans and completely lack any flair or imagination. What they need is military style discipline off the field and some imagination and common sense on the field.

Did you read Buchanan's column? I suggest you to read it fully. Well, truly I thought to provide you the link some time back but forgot. :-y Alright..here it is.. http://cricket.com.au/default.aspx?s=buchanan Hmm..lot to say..but itz better if you guys start reading it. Have a look at the website too. Now, search for BCCI's - the world's richest cricket board. I always speak about standards, yeh? What has the website to do with cricket? Think, Siri Bob! "A master never ends his quest/thirst for improving." Again, repeating.."if you've achieved 100%, try for 110% and try for 120% and try for....", got it? There is lot to improve as a human spirit. By the way, I want Aussies crush Sri Lanka maybe within 15 overs. Setting some new standard? Maybe! K..will catch you when today's result comes up.

Wow!!! Simply superb!! Aussies are on the way to win the cup. Im feeling too good and happy. My brother was wishing SL's win. U know why? Simply because, its another Asian country. Oh! :( *Deep sigh* Thanks to the nice score board at www.cricket.com.au Im following it in regular intervals. Something to share that I just observed. If you would like to see how pressured/frustrated a team is in one day cricket, just count their boundaries in that day's game. That gives you the complete story of the "losing attitude". Never bother about the 1s or 2s. They simply kill our time. :) Till now SL have played 3 six's while Aussies had played 10. Conclusion:- "The more confident you feel, the more six's you play, right?" All together, itz gonna be a good win. But not the best. I wish Aussies work more on winning. Maybe, finish the game in 10 overs! Luv ya Aussies! Long live (Aussies) cricket!! PS: I also wish, someone beat Aussies the same way they beat others. WOW!! It'ld be too big day to celebrate! Now, itz "Long live cricket!" :-) Cheers!

Even in Hockey Australia beat India 1 - 0 today, but at least our hockey team gave a good fight than our cricketers.
