CEC 2005 Club
Party at Moscone Center, San Francisco.
Today's event culminated with a well organized dinner party at the Moscone Center, followed by a standup comedy show and a nice performance from an all-girls rock band, the AC/DShe, who where able to bring back to me some memories from the 80's and early 90's, when Rock&Roll was a must in every party.
Tomorrow is the last day of this great event , which served well it's purpose of preparing thousands of engineers to become technology ambassadors, ready to spread fresh knowledge throughout their local communities, be they colleagues, partners, friends or even customers.
This kind of knowledge, built around the collective experience of experts from around the globe who took the job of sharing best practices, lessons learned from the field, and latest developments on tools, products and methodologies, keeps proving to be of utmost value, year after year.
Keep an eye on recent posts from many participants, who are doing a great job describing their experience after attending some brilliant lectures on hot technologies built by the enourmous talent of Sun's engineering community throughout the globe.
Also, being able to network with experts and though leaders, everyone gains from sharing first hand ideas and visions, that enrich our own knowledge in ways one couldn't get anywhere else.
Being the greatest commercial enterprise to contribute to open source community, one can expect everyone will be able to share this knowledge, either through the lucky engineers who now take this back to share, or through the posts of many Sun employees, who just can't wait to spread the news using their blogs.
