OpenSolaris Meet Skulltrail
I built a new "V8 rig" to run OpenSolaris based upon the Intel D5400XS "Skulltrail" motherboard. With dual Quad-Core processors, it's an excellent enthusiast platform. OpenSolaris 2008.11 installs cleanly and quickly with great support for the on-board devices -- it's a marriage made in heaven.

Sweet.
I'm just starting to put a Skulltrail rig together for this exact purpose - OpenSolaris hosting a few guest OS to do all my work/play in. Just got the mobo and two qx9775 chips, so a long way to go yet.
Thanks for posting the screen shots! If you've kept a log when putting the rig together, please share :-)
