Taking the plunge!

Well I'm sitting at my desk working away, and humming along next to me is my Dell Inspiron 8500 zig zagging across the CD installing Solaris Express. Burning 5 CD's was a bit of a pain, since I don't regularly do that kind of stuff. I remember installing Linux many moons ago, and it would install from an alternate partition on your hard drive. Why can't OpenSolaris do that? Maybe I should have investigated one of the other distributions of OpenSolaris instead, but I figured I would want the latest and greatest stuff. Maybe I should check what the lag time is for the other distros... Hmmm..... Anyway, once all my CDs get done churning, I'll let you know how it goes. I'm looking forward to trying Chime!
