Sun Studio resources on genunix.org I've been harassing my cow orkers in the Sun Studio group to try to get them to participate in more open activities like blogging and contributing to the genunix.org Sun Studio resources (like the FAQ and other resources. In the last two weeks, I had one person actually add some FAQ content on their own (yay!) and someone else gave me some constructive advice about the genunix site without me even needing to bring up the subject! It seems that I'm starting to make a dent.
I know we have a large number of people who are just finishing up the port of our compilers to Linux, and they know everything there is to know about how Solaris differs from Linux, and what kinds of issues come up when porting software. I've tried to get them to help record some of this on genunix, but for now a lot of that information has only been recorded on an internal wiki. It's on my list of things to do to start trawling through our internal Wiki and moving the public stuff that could qualify as a FAQ out to the genunix site.
