Give it away for free, and make it up in volume!
You can get the latest Sun Studio tools for free.  As my buddies say: "Give it away for free and make it up in volume".  ;-)  You've got no excuses now.  You don't even need to be running Solaris. You can run the debugger and the IDE on Linux systems. The Sun compilers don't run on Linux yet, but the writing is on the wall (so to speak).

Boy it feels great not to have to put 3 paragraphs of legalese after that "yet" part, I really don't think it's a big stretch to guess that we might be working on porting the compilers, since the other parts of product are already ported. I'm sure the lawyers will be at my door momentarily to drag me away in handcuffs.
