Greetings from Krakow!
Not in any way bike related, so I'm posting for the first time in my
"other" section of the blog! There's not a lot of bike stuff
going on at the moment. But there does appear to be more to life than
bikes on occasion (I know, it was a shock to me too), and this is one
of those occasions.
I'm writing this from Krakow in Poland, where I am helping to coach
some of our partner engineers who are now taking volume support calls
for the UK. I flew in on Sunday afternoon, to a tiny airport, and
was whisked away by taxi into the city centre and to the hotel I'm
staying at. I've been really busy with work all week, and unfortunately
have not had a huge amount of time to do much sightseeing.
Despite finishing at the office at 4.30, it's already dark by
then so difficult to do all the things I'd like to. I've had a
wander around the old town and been into St Mary's Church
and just generally taken in the atmosphere. It's a very beautiful
place - the architecture is stunning, the food is great, and the people
are very very friendly. The engineers I'm working with the office
are a pleasure to work with - they are so polite and very
amiable. I'll miss them when I go!
In fact, I really wish I had more time to spend here - I'm enjoying it
a lot, but sadly I leave tomorrow afternoon. I think I will definitely have to come back, hopefully
next time with more time to see this wonderful city.
