A couple of 'publication' links...

Just in case you haven't already seen it, you can now also get to the Synnovations article written by me, Pat Patterson and Eve Maler via Marina Sum's blog. For those of you who prefer to take your medicine aurally, there is now also a podcast of me being interviewed by Aldo Castañeda for his series "The Story of Digital Identity". I don't know about you, but I hate listening to recordings of my own voice... however, here you go: Episode 19: Digital Identity and User-centricity. It was a pleasure being interviewed by Aldo, and I did my best to be frank and forthcoming; I just hope I haven't given our PR folks a heart-attack.

Speaking of the budget - briefly

Yesterday the BBC site ran a competition for people to summarise Mr Brown's 63-minute budget speech in 50 words or less. I picked what I felt were the 50 quintessential words in the speech, strung them together and sent them in. My effort went up on the 'Best So Far' page for a while this morning, but didn't make it into the final 10, so here it is for posterity:

"Strengthening inflation target accelerating balance public service and climate change. Modern prosperity volatile inflation target inflation expectations halved bubble robust and prudent. Path-breaking cutting edge falling behind benchmark stability euro summer school. Homeowners home owning Deputy Prime Minister climate change reduce emissions duty duty oils the Secretary for Environment."

Here were some of the other entries I liked (Gordon Brown is considered to be the 'heir' to Tony Blair as Prime Minister, and has recently become a father):

New Labour, New Deal, New Stealth Taxes, New Record Borrowing Levels, New Scientists, New Businesses, New Entrepreneurs, New Homeowners, New Hospitals, New Schools, New Church Roofs, New Sports Facilities, New Memorials, New Prime Minister? Chris Burniston, London

My name is Gordymandias, King of Kings: Look upon my works, ye Mighty, and despair! Nothing in truth remains. Behind the trump Of prudence and success, swelling undeclared, The PFI and pension debts stretch far away. Rob Findlay, Shrewsbury, UK

Families, children, hard-working, save, bigger allowance for families, more money, children, families, hard-working, tax-credit, children's savings scheme, by the way do you know I'm a father now? Dave C, Halkyn
