Another event for your diary
London, March 13th 2007: Sun Live.
This should be a great event - not least because the Public Sector stream is going to capitalise on the extremely well-informed people over at Public Sector Forums. These folks seem to know more about what's going on in UK public sector organisations than the civil servants do themselves, and it should make for a very interesting stream.
You'll also be able to see Conn Crawford showcase what Sunderland City Council are doing with digital identity, smart cards and the Liberty Alliance specifications.
And that's just the Public Sector stuff. There will also be telco, media, travel, financial services streams, sessions on sustainability and so on...
Oh, and James Gosling will expand on the topic of 'Web 2.0', Andrew Marr will speak on the implications of the Participation Age, and will also be interviewing Trudy Norris-Grey...
It genuinely sounds like it will be a blast. Here's the web page.

Net-ID 2007 conference, Berlin, Feb 26-27th
I'm told it is still not too late to book a place at the third annual Net-ID conference in Berlin... and if you're available I can highly recommend it.
I went last year, and thought it was excellent. The agenda is the right blend of industry/policy experts and technologists, and the networking opportunities are impressively high-level.
The event itself was extremely well-run by Computas, a family-run firm who really add a personal touch and a level of attention to detail which puts the average conference sausage-mill to shame. Strictly speaking, the head of the family has retired... but he keeps involved by doing all the research and procurement for the wines served with dinner. It's a rotten job, I know, but someone's got to do it ;^)
If you're interested, here's the conference website:
English version
German version
This link should directly download a .pdf file of the agenda.
Let me know if you are going - I look forward to seeing you there.
