Why "racingsnake"?

Hmm. It goes back to a customer meeting I had in about 1998-9.
I was just about to sign up for my own hosted domain name.

A salesman and I went to visit ING Bank in Holland, invited by
the local Sun rep. So we sit down at the meeting table with two
Dutch customers we've never met before, and the salesman says:

"Hi, I'm [name withheld to protect the innocent], and I'm the
salesman, so you can't trust a word I say. But it's OK, because
I've brought Robin with me, and although he's as thin as a
racing snake, he is very honest."

The customers were looking like they were seriously wondering
how we'd got all the way to Holland from a mental asylum, but
the epithet kind of stuck in my memory, and resurfaced when
I was picking a domain name. Unfortunately I have since let the domain
name lapse, but racingsnake lives on in this blog!

So now you know...
