Although I was somewhat surprised by the #1 most expensive ZIP code, I was not surprised to see California represents half of the top ten ZIPs, and nearly two-thirds of the top 25 in the Most Expensive ZIP Codes 2005.

For an answer that begins with: Your question has two possible answers depending on which scenario of zombie conquest you envision, this is a remarkably educational answer.

Make's first DIYcast (I see we're not the only ones with an aversion to naming their stuff podcast) is a decent listen, especially if you're a captive audience in the car or on the stairmaster. If you're a fan of the magazine, and want a sneak peak at the topics they'll be covering in issue #2, check out the 'cast- in the final 5 minutes, Phillip Torrone drops a list of topics that will be covered. Sounds like it'll be an interesting issue....

Eleven "Mad Max" fans were arrested after alarming motorists as they made their way to a movie marathon in a theatrical convoy in which they surrounded a tanker truck armed with fake machine guns.

Sheesh, San Antonio- you need to lighten up. "Police charged nine people with obstruction of a highway"?? How come I never see that law enforced here in California when people refuse to use common sense and allow faster traffic to pass?? Perhaps I need to deploy some spiked shoulder pads and a roof-mounted gatling gun to clear my way through the congestion.

Ten by Ten is an interesting way to process current events visually. Every hour, 10x10 scans the RSS feeds of several leading international news sources, and performs an elaborate process of weighted linguistic analysis on the text contained in their top news stories. After this process, conclusions are automatically drawn about the hour's most important words. The top 100 words are chosen, along with 100 corresponding images, culled from the source news stories.

It currently pulls news from Reuters World (pronounced Royters for those that call it Rooters), BBC World, and NYT International News.

Going from disposable razors to the Mach3, and then from random foams to Nivea gel were both shocking improvements in my shaving experience. But this nice writeup on how to wetshave has me wondering just how much better a badger hair brush and double edge safety razor could be.
