This is the remainder of the 2007 tomato harvest. The collapsing trellis I mentioned earlier caused a large amount of fruit loss to bugs and rot, as they sat on the ground while ripening. Doh. Thats a simple tomato sauce simmering in the background- probably another 50 oz of tomatoes. And yes, I absolutely hate my stove top. A gas replacement is on the todo list.
Nice! We suffered through a bad drought and super hot tempratures this summer. I thought our Better Boy plant was finished. Well, the weather cooled off finally and we have more green tomatos than I can easily count from a stationary position. I just hope they ripen before the colder weather sets in. I guess there is always fried green tomato BLTs. We are in the south.
